Could Losing Weight Actually be Easier Than 1-2-3?

No, but it is as easy as 1-2-3-4-5-6. That’s right the proof is in the pudding. Research shows that by eating 6 small meals a day you have a greater chance of burning fat and losing weight as opposed to the old time, breakfast, lunch, and dinner routine. Remember when you were growing up and your parents persisted that you ate 3 square meals a day to keep the doctors away? Your parents may have been right about keeping the doctors away, but they were 3 meals away from keeping the fat away.

If you eat 6 meals in a day instead of just 3, you will lose more weight.

Lets take two twins both weighing 300 pounds. Twin number 1 goes on a calorie restricted diet. He eats just 2,400 calories over the course of 3 meals. Twin number 2 goes on a calories restricted diet as well, but instead of just 3 meals to make up the 2,400 calories, twin number 2 has 6 meals. Basic math will tell us that he ate half as much at each meal but ate twice as often.

The more you eat, the more your body has to process food. As long as you are eating healthy calories, your metabolism will speed up and you will begin to lose more weight with out even working out.

Is it possible that by eating less at each meal, but eating more meals will really cause me to lose more weight?

I could go on for hours listing all of the positive things fat loss gurus have to say about the ‘more meals’ for fat loss program, but that would be boring. So instead. I will show you what you can do to make this month, your month to lose weight. Aside from eating 6 small meals each day this month, you will also adapt my secret nine metabolic boosters.

Below are nine steps to increase your metabolic rate and cause you to lose weight.

1. Eat protein at every meal.

2. Eliminate wheat- and flour-based products for the time being. And yes, that definitely includes all bread and pasta, even the “whole grain” varieties.

3. Eat unprocessed foods. Ninety percent of what you eat should be a combination of (in this order of importance) raw vegetables, steamed vegetables, whole grains, lean protein, and a few fruits.

4. Lose the booze. Despite what some studies say, you lose no health benefits by giving up alcohol (including wine). There is nothing essential in alcohol that you can't get in fruits and vegetables without all the bad side effects.

5. Reduce or eliminate dairy foods for the time being.

6. Reduce starch to one portion a day, and don't eat that portion during your evening meal. Best choices of starches are beans, sweet potatoes, and oatmeal.

7. Watch which types of fat you're eating. The amount of fat you eat is probably less important than the kind of fat you eat. The worst are fried foods, margarine and foods that contain hydrogenized or partially hydrogenized oils. The best is omega-3, found in fish and flaxseed oil.

8. Stop using vegetable oils such as sunflower, safflower and corn. The supermarket kind is highly refined, and it oxidizes easily when heated, contributing to arterial plaque. Use olive oil instead, and apply it to food after the food is cooked when possible.

9. Obsessively drink water: At least 8 ounces for every 20 pounds of body weight you're now carrying around, each day. Every day. No excuses.
